Application:Mangiferin (MGF) is a natural phenolic xanthonoid that may be studied as an antimicrobial or antidiabetic agent with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activity. Mangiferin may used to help identify and characterize type II 5-α-reductase(s). MGF may be used as a reference material in analytical analysis of xanthoids. MGF may be used as a possible accelerator of gastrointestinal transit (GIT).
