GENERAL DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS

The antimonide ion is Sb3−. Antimonide is a binary compound of antimony with more electropositive elements. Indium antimonide and other III-V group compounds, aluminum antimonide and gallium antimonide, are intermetallic compounds having semiconductor properties and the highest room-temperature electron mobility. They are used in thermography, magnetoresistive devices, infrared detector and transistors. Other antimonide compounds are:
