APPLICATIONS |
||
Oxazole is a heterocyclic organic compound of a five-member ring molecular structure,C3H3ON, containing three carbon atoms, one oxygen atom, and one nitrogen atom. Isoxazole is a positional isomer which f nitrogen and oxygen are placed at adjacent position. Oxazole derivatives are used as building block for biochemicals and pharmaceutical as well as in other industrial applications including pesticides, dyes, fluorescent brightening agents, textile auxiliaries and plastics. Hymexazol, 3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole, is useful in agricultural applications as a soil disinfectant, as a fungicide and as a plant growth stimulator. Hymexazol is a white to red crystalline powder which is soluble in water and miscible with most organic solvents.The melting point is 86 C. | ||
