GENERAL DESCRIPTION |
||
Chlorothalonil is a white, odourless crystalline solid; melts of 250 C, boils at 350 C; poorly soluble in water, slowly hydrolysed in water at pH 9, but is stable at pH 7 or below, readily soluble in benzene and soluble xylene, cyclohexanone and dimethyl formamide. It is non-flammable, not corrosive and non-explosive. It is used as a general use fungicide for plants and crops and as a presevative for paints and adhesives. | ||
