PERMETHRIN

GENERAL
PERMETHRIN is a pyrethroid insecticide which is effective against a wide range of insect pests particularly Lepidoptera and Coleoptera in cotton, fruit, tobacco, tomatoes, vegetables, vines and other crops by contact and stomach action. It is also effective against a wide range of animal ectoparasites and flying insects.

Acute oral LD50 for a cis/trans ratio of 40:60 are 504~791 mg/kg for rats.
Acute percutaneous LD50 for rats >2,000mg/kg.
Acute inhalation LC50(4 h) for mice and rats >5.4mg/งค air.
Not irritant to eye and skin for rabbits.
Rats fed 100mg/kg diet for 2 year showed no adverse effect.
ADI 0.05mg/kg body weight for cis/trans 40:60.

PRECAUTION IN HANDLING

It should be under no circumstances whatsoever be handled by children or incompetent persons. While in storage, drum should be kept well sealed and stored in cool, dry and well ventilated place. In case of accidental ingestion, the patient should be taken to a doctor who should give symptomatic treatment.
