APPLICATIONS

Thiamine: A member of the vitamin B complex (water-soluble) including thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), riboflavin 5'- phosphate, nicotinic acid, Vitamin B6 Group (Pyridoxine, pyridoxal, pyridoxamine), panthothenic acid (vitamin B3 or vitamin B5), inositol, p-aminobenzoic acid, biotin (vitamin B7), folic acid (vitamin B9), and vitamin B12 (cobalamins). Thiamine has the structure of substituted-pyrimidine linked to substituted-thiazole. Thiamine is an essential ingredient for the biosynthesis of the coenzyme thiamine pyrophosphate which plays an important role in carbohydrate metabolism (catalyzing decarboxylation of various alpha-keto acids). Thiamine hydrochloride form is generally employed. This vitamin is a factor for appetite, normal intestinal function, cardiovascular and nervous systems.
  • Thiamine Hydrochloride: Hydrochloride salt form of thiamine; white, hygroscopic crystals;  soluble in water, insoluble in ether, decomposes at 247 C; the form in which thiamine is generally employed for the prophylaxis and treatment of thiamine deficiency states orally and intramuscularly.
  • Thiamine Mononitrate: Nitrate salt form of thiamine for the preparation of various multivitamins.
  • Thiamine Pyrophosphate: The coenzyme in a variety of reactions or prosthetic component of carboxylase.
