Oxibendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic used in thr treatment of
roundworms, strongyles, threadworms, pinworms and lungworm infestations in
horses and other ruminants. It is a white powder; insoluble in water, soluble in
acetic acid and formic acid; melting point 233 C. Chemical designation is
Methyl (5-propoxy-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl) carbamate; an analogue of albendazole
