EXTRA NOTES |
Sakuranetin is found in black walnut. Sakuranetin is a flavanone, a type of flavonoid. It can be found in Polymnia fruticosa and rice, where it acts as a phytoalexin against spore germination of Pyricularia oryzae. Sakuranetin has been shown toexhibit anti-fungal function (PMID 16448189). Sakuranetin belongs to the family of Flavanones. These are compounds containing a flavan-3-one moiety, which structure is characterized by a 2-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran bearing a ketone at the carbon C3.(HMDB) |
