CLASSIFICATION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Benzene (C6H6), also called benzol (coal naphtha), is an aromatic flammable  hydrocarbon liquid produced by coking coal in steel industries and is synthesised from  natural gas. Benzene is a chemical that occurs naturally in crude oil. Natural benzene is  supplemented by additional volume made in the refining process. Benzene is used in  making many common products such as tires, carpets, compact discs and  pharmaceuticals.
