REMARKS

Benzotrichloride decomposes by heating, by contact with acids and water to produce hydrogen chloride and benzoic acid. It reacts violently with strong oxidants, metals (especially iron), alkali and earth alkali metals, bases and organic substances causing fire and explosion hazard.
