GENERAL DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS

Halquinols, a mixture of chlorinated derivatives of 8-hydroxquinoline, composed of typically 57-75% 5,7-Dichloro-8-quinolinol, 23-40% 5-Chloro-8-quinolinol, and balanced 7-Chloro-8-quinolinol. Like other quinoline derivative (Clioquinol, Iodoquinol) it can be used in the treatment of amoebiasis. It is used as a feed additive for poultry and particularly pig for the treatment of non-specified diarrhoea and as a growth promotant.
